Five things to check before mounting a TV

A TV that falls is an expensive mistake. Check these first.
Find the studs
Most brackets need at least one stud. Drywall anchors alone aren’t enough for a large TV.
Measure the viewing height
The middle of the screen should be close to eye level when seated, not above a fireplace mantel by default.
Plan the wires
Decide on a raceway or in-wall kit before the bracket goes up.
